ˇ         Following the resurgence of Metis identity in the Canadian west and examining the way in which individuals make decisions on ethnic identity.  Politics of ethnicity.

ˇ         Compiling a database of Metis genealogy, including information on employment and residence as well as the usual demographic variables.

ˇ         Clarifying traditional and tribal cultural rules in cross-cultural settings, returning verifiable historical narratives to aboriginal and mainstream culture

 

 

Academic/ Teaching Experience

 

          Contract Lecturer - “Native Society”,  Division of Science, Native Ministries Program, Canadian Union College, College Heights, Alberta, July 1995.  Prepared and presented a three credit Sociology of Native Society course for Theology students.

 

Teaching Assistant  - for Dr. Jennifer Brown, Department of History, University of Winnipeg, 1994/95, 1995/96.  Included such varied duties as: outside of classroom tutoring, conducting study groups, editing student’s papers before submission, as well as assisting with audio-visual presentations and the usual exam proctoring and marking.
