by day diary of the events of the 1885 NorthWest Rebellion, but is most valuable to family historians for the identifying
footnotes included by the author. Doug Light is descendant of a NWMP who served in Battleford, and of the historic Gunn family
who trace their ancestry in Western Canada back to the 1700's. His father established and ran the Fred Light Museum in Battleford.
